On October 2, CBA recognized students’ academic achievements for the second semester of the 2018-19 school year.
Christian Brothers Academy, a college preparatory middle and high school for boys in Albany, New York, challenges students to excel in academics, in athletics and in life. They’re doing something right because 100% of its students are accepted to college, and it’s been that way since 1980. It’s doing something right in athletics because CBA holds numerous titles in basketball, football, track and field, and soccer. CBA’s award-winning band and high-ranking Army Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC) also indicate it holds a recipe for success.
On September 30, 8th grade biology students traveled to Lake George for a hands-on adventure on the Floating Classroom.
On September 28, students volunteered for the Walk for Wildwood at Cook’s Park in Colonie. Wildwood provides support and services to people of all ages with conditions described as developmental disabilities, complex learning, and autism spectrum disorder.
CBA held its annual Golden Plus Luncheon at the Century House on September 25 to honor alumni from the class of ’69 and prior.
On September 21, the CBA and AHN Student Councils teamed up to support the Foundation for Angelman Syndrome Therapeutics (FAST) at All-For-Fun.
On September 14, family members and friends gathered at the Century House to celebrate the success of seven elite athletes as they were inducted into the CBA Athletic Hall of Fame.
On September 13, students, alumni, family, and friends cheered the Brothers to a 26-8 victory over Colonie High for the 2019 Homecoming Game!
Cross Country team members Phil Bianco ’23, Jack McKenna ’23, Ryan Kilburn ’22, and Zeke Caldon ’22 volunteered at the Double H Ranch Community Work Day on September 15.
