On Saturday, October 14, players from varsity football team volunteered at the 21st Annual Capital Region Buddy Walk held at Schenectady Central Park to benefit the Down Syndrome Aim High Resource Center, a division of the Center for Disability Services. Our student-athletes helped Anne Costigan, Deputy Executive Director of Center for Disability Services to set up for the Buddy Walk. After setup, our students joined and walked with the people who receive services at the center, “The boys were terrific. They were a credit to you (Coach Joe Burke) and Christian Brothers Academy,” said Anne Costigan, “we couldn’t have gotten set up in the timely way we did without them.” Nearly 700 walkers participated in the Buddy Walk, raising $50,000 to benefit the Down Syndrome Aim High Resource Center.
