Important Dates
New Parent & Student Orientation
New Parent and Student Orientation will take place Tuesday, September 1, 2026 at 6pm. This session is intended for all Freshman parents and students, and all new parents and students enrolled at CBA for the upcoming school year. A more detailed schedule of the program will be sent out later this summer and certain items pertaining to the new school year will be available. Parents and students are encouraged to attend.

Opening Days of School
The opening week of the school year starts on Wednesday, September 9th. Specific grade levels will come to school on assigned days. Thursday, September 10th will be our first day of school for all grade levels. It will be a 12:30pm Dismissal. A more detailed schedule will be put out later this summer. Please call your individual school district to see when they will begin providing transportation for the upcoming school year.

Senior Portraits
Senior portraits will take place October 13th-16th. Senior parents will receive an email from Upstate Images asking you to sign up your son for a date and time. All pictures are done on campus in the Dress Blues uniform with their Officer’s Gear (if applicable). All students need to be in compliance with proper grooming standards for their portrait or it will not be taken.

JROTC Hat Kit
If your son is participating in the High School JROTC program then you will most likely need to order a Hat Kit to go with his Dress Blues uniform. The Hat Kit order form is accessed by clicking this link. If you have any questions, please contact John Robert Graham, at graham@cbaalbany.org
Textbooks
All textbooks are provided by Capital Region BOCES. The procedure for requesting textbooks from Capital Region BOCES must be completed online. Please visit www.capitalregionboces.org/textbooks to complete the textbook process electronically. In order to complete the process, you will need a UNIQUE ID number. Your unique ID number is your son’s CBA student ID number. This number can be found in your CBA PowerSchool account. If you encounter any problems, you should contact BOCES at 518-464-5121. Textbooks for the 2026-2027 school year will not be issued if your son’s current textbooks are not returned in accordance with BOCES’ policies. You are responsible for returning textbooks to BOCES at 900 Watervliet Shaker Rd, Albany NY 12205.

2026-27 Saratoga Bus Registration: The Saratoga Bus/HN Bus Information for 2026-27 will be available in a separate correspondence. Registration will begin the week of July 13th and will run through August. Please continue to check your email for sign up and route information.
2026-27 Student Parking Registration: Students may begin to register their vehicles for 2026-27. Please click here to complete the vehicle registration form and parking contract, and return it with payment to the CBA Main Office. Please make checks payable to CBA and put “Student Parking” in the memo line. Contact Dr. Lewyckyj at lewyckyj@cbaalbany.org with any questions.
