Dear CBA Families,

We hope you all had a peaceful and Merry Christmas. As we end 2020 and joyfully welcome a new year, we wish to share an update of our plans for return to school.

Recently, New York State has amended the quarantine timeline for those who have been in contact with a person who has tested positive for COVID-19.  The quarantine period has been reduced from 14 days to 10 days if symptom free. We will resume instruction on Monday, January 4, with remote instruction for all students.  On Tuesday, January 5, students in grades 5 through 8 will return to campus for in-person instruction, while students in grades 9 through 12 will have one additional day of remote instruction. On Wednesday, January 6, all students in grades 5 through 12 are welcome to campus for in-person instruction.  With the understanding that many of our students gathered with families for Christmas, this plan begins in-person instruction with a ten day period between Christmas Day and a return to campus.

For those who have traveled out of state during Christmas break, we expect our families to follow all NYS travel quarantine guidelines and for those students to participate in remote instruction.  Additionally, we recommend remote instruction for students who have attended large gatherings after Christmas.  For any of our families, we provide our remote instruction option as an option to avoid potential contact.

Return to School

  • Monday, January 4 – Remote instruction only.
  • Tuesday, January 5 – Grades 5 – 8: In-person instruction. Grades 9 – 12: Remote instruction.
  • Wednesday, January 6 – Grades 5 – 12: In-person instruction.

Senior Portraits

Senior portraits will take place as scheduled.  Make sure that your son completes the COVID screener prior to entering the building.  He is to wear his full dress blues uniform. Officers will also need to bring their sword, hat, and gloves. (Items will not be provided by the school or studio in the event you forgot something. No sharing of props will be allowed.)  All school dress code requirements must be met for the image to appear in the yearbook. (i.e. clean shave, hair length, etc.)  If you have questions about your son’s scheduled time please contact Mr. Agan.  To see what to expect during your son’s portrait session Click Here.

We pray for God’s blessing on your families and wish you all a Happy New Year as we look forward to a safe and healthy 2021.

Sincerely,
